Does Watcher include movies or TV shows?
No. Watcher is a video player and personal media library client. You need access to a compatible server and permission to play its content. The images show examples of the app in use.
What can I connect?
Plex, Jellyfin or a custom server that implements the Watcher-compatible API. An arbitrary website address or another streaming service URL is not enough. You can change libraries in Settings.
Does it show what is on my server?
With Plex and Jellyfin, browsing and search show the movies and shows in your connected library. Watcher uses one active library at a time.
Can I watch offline?
Yes, you can download compatible movies and episodes on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Downloads are not available on Apple TV. Compatibility depends on the server and file.
Can I connect Trakt?
Yes. With a compatible custom server, you can sync My List, watched history and progress with Trakt, and get recommendations. The Trakt integration does not apply to Plex or Jellyfin libraries.
What does iCloud sync?
Your Trakt session across devices using the same iCloud account. Your list, history and progress sync through Trakt when you use a compatible custom server.
Is it available in English and Spanish?
Yes. The app and this website are available in English and Spanish. Title names and metadata may depend on the information provided by your server.
